The Health Benefits of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

 

Coconut oil is the best oil you could possibly use, and it’s my favorite oil. It beats those cheap oils like olive, canola, vegetable, soybean, sunflower, etc. Coconut oil is very versatile; it’s great for cooking, add in your raw recipes, hair, skin/body care (use as a natural sunscreen, spread all over your body to naturally soften and moisturize it), cleaning, teeth whitening, and more. The benefits of coconut oil are simply amazing!

Extra Virgin Coconut oil contains healthy and happy “good fats” like saturated fatty acids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, monosaturated fatty acids, and poly-phenols which aids in weight loss, due to the short and medium chained fatty acids. These essential fats boost your metabolism and naturally burn calories (of course, when consumed moderately). Coconuts cure cancer, HIV, strengthens the bones, lowers high blood pressure, maintains cholesterol level, reduces the risk of heart disease, etc! The list of benefits goes on and on.

You can even use it as a facial mask with baking soda, as well. One all-natural facial mask recipe is 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and a few pinches of sea salt. Mix it together and spread on your face. Leave it in for 15 minutes (or longer. The longer the better). Wash off and feel free to leave a bit of the oil, if you like. Your face will be soft, vibrant and you’ll be feeling and looking younger.

So take out all those cheap oils you have in your kitchen cabinet or counter and start incorporating extra virgin coconut oil in your life! You can research the dangers of the cheap oils and what it does to your body. You will be loving coconut oil.

The coconut oil I use is organic, non-GMO, raw, unrefined, and virgin from Nutiva. They are a great superfood brand. Nutiva’s coconut oil are made with no chemicals, 100% raw, unrefined, pure, made with fresh coconut (not dried copra), organic, and unbleached. Spectrum is not a good brand, as their coconut oils are GMO, bleached and contain unnecessary artificial ingredients such as hexane.
