The summer of 2014 has made me realize how much I LOVE watermelons! If you read my post about the amazing health benefits of watermelons, you already know that I feasted on watermelon juice for 5 days. I promised I’d share my experience with you… so here it is!
My 5 Day Watermelon Feast Experience
My dad and I feasted on watermelons for 5 days, and it was amazing! I experienced some headaches (a sign of detoxing!), had a bit of acne on my face, had energy, I slept better, I had great digestion, I lost weight, gained mental clarity, and felt grounded with myself and nature. Every time we got hungry, we drank watermelon juice. We blended watermelon with stevia, and it was amazing! Sweet, refreshing and very yummy!! It was great!
Importance of Mono-Meals!
Lately, my dad and I have been eating watermelons as a mono-meal everyday. For those of you who don’t know what mono meals are, they are meals where you eat only one kind of fruit at one meal. You can mono meal on any fruit you like, like watermelons (or your favorite melon), oranges, bananas, mangoes, papaya, peaches, berries, and more. Mono meals makes it easier on your digestion, because it’s easier for your body to digest a meal that has only1 ingredient, rather than a meal that has 10-50 ingredients! There are many benefits of mono-meals, and I’ll explain more in an upcoming post on 0medz0. I recommend eating at least 1-2 mono meals a day. This will give you more energy and improve your digestion.
