, and it inspired me to write a blogpost about how I keep my work space/office healthy!

Keeping your work environment healthy is just as important as your health. If your office/space is clean, your performance at work will be optimum. The same is with your health. If you have great health, you’re able to do the things you love and you’re able to perform your best.
Here’s how I keep my work environment a healthy one…
Meditate & Breathe
Meditation has sure helped me to keep my work environment a healthy one. I meditate daily; every morning upon waking, I meditate in bed. It gives me a clear and fresh mind, and starts my day off right. Practicing proper breathing techniques also helps to freshen my mind, and reminds me to take it easy and not to worry or stress about things in my busy life.
I like to get my exercise in first thing in the morning before starting my day, as it helps to boost my day off right and makes me feel good. I also feel more productive, accomplished and gain more mental clarity and focus when I get a good, sweaty workout in. Exercise is not only part of a healthy lifestyle—it’s also part of keeping your work environment healthy, too. Stretching is very important, especially if you work at an office for an extended period of time.
It’s very imperative that I take breaks between my working time/hours. Taking breaks helps to refresh my mind, gain mental clarity and makes me more productive.
Eating healthy is part of having a healthy work environment. Since I work from home (and eat from home, haha!), it’s important that I fuel my brain, body and cells with the best nutrients possible. and that is with raw living foods. Your brain burns calories; the more you use it, the more calories it burns. Therefore, it’s important that I fuel my mind (and body) with the proper nutrition from fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, so that my brain is carbed up and works optimally. It’s also very important that I stay hydrated, too. Hydration is important for keeping both your work environment and body healthy.
Get Enough Rest
Getting your beauty sleep is very important not only for your body, but it’s also essential for your sanity and having optimum health. When you’re well-rested, you’re more energized and able to think and perform better. This is obvious, because when you’re tired, you’re less energetic and your mind isn’t as clear. If needed, take 5-15 minute naps. Research shows taking a quick 10-15 minute nap makes you more productive and freshens your mind. So, don’t forget to get your sleep and rest!
Keep My Work Area/Environment Clean
Keeping my work space clean is very important. A cluttered work area will cause you to have a fogged mind and you won’t perform as optimally in your office, as you would in a clean work space. I like to have my work space clean, because it gives me a clear mind. A clean work environment = a healthy sanity and a healthy work environment! 🙂
